Ticking sound from Wii after modding

For some reason after modding and putting the wii back together, some backup discs get this ticking sound after i put it in, and if the ticking keeps going (slow ticks like a tick a second) then the game doesnt work.

this does not happen with the retail disc. And this only happens on SOME of the backup discs. and sometimes it ticks for like 2 to 3 times then the game is loaded like normal.

is it because it's dirty inside? :?
i didnt solder correctly? (but some wii games work fine)
i use wiikey.

Most likely it clicks with DVD +R. Thats what happened to mine, also had a few DRE's. DVD-R is the way to go.

but i have tons of DVD+R. i only have a few DVD-R.....

disk read error..
And try verbatim dvd-r or another reliable brand with -r
