I have a ratdvd file. The orginal dvd that the ratdvd was made from is from Europe. Its original format was PAL with ac3 audio. It has 3 internal subtitles. I used the ratdvd program to convert the ratdvd file back to regular dvd. It created both an image file and a folder called video_ts on my hard drive. I want to burn a dvd that will play in my stand alone player and I am having problems.

I have tried several things.

First I selected the option in ratdvd to burn image to disc with Nero. I did that but the dvd that I burned would not play correctly in my stand alone player (picture was jumpy like the frame rate was off or something, but the sound was good)

Next I tried to use convertx2dvd. I know convertx2dvd has an option to convert PAL to NTSC. I imported all the files from the video_ts folder into convertxtodvd. The DVD that I burned from that did play on my stand alone player but there was no sound. When I went back and looked at convertxtodvd there was no audio in the properties tab. Does convertxtodvd not support ac3?

Next I tried to use DVDshrink/DVDdecrypter. I took the same files from the video_ts folder and put them into dvdshrink and then used dvddecrypter to burn. This burned dvd did also not play in my stand alone player. It was jumpy as well. But it had sound.

I am not sure if the problem is with the iso image, the folders in the video_ts folder or with my burning software. The coasters are rapidly piling up and I am at a loss what to do next. Try burning the image file again with another program? Or is there another program that can load the files from the video_ts folder that will give me options like convert to NTSC and that recognizes ac3 audio?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
