Alright since some people are just lazy and don't bother look up other threads i am going to create this thread for the common questions and make it easier for noobs to ask questions. If you are a newbie please post your questions here. Do not flood the forum with the same questions, you have caused a good member to leave Ps2meance

Flash! its cheaper easier and you have less of a chance of getting banned


2.Can flashing break my xbox 360?

Just with everything else in the world there is a risk but you read up and check what you are doing and you understand every single step you should be fine.


3.Do i void my warranty by flashing?


Yes you do, but there many hair brain schemes people have come with that enables you to remove the warranty sticker without leave any residue or any proof that you did. COUGH*hairdryer*COUGH


4.Where can i download xbox 360 games?


Do not ask this question i have seen so many posts like this in the forum or hinting at it. Its people like that, that caused the raids on the mod chip stores and caused innocent people to be sued and have their gaming possessions taken away



5.How do i backup my games?


You could use the wxripper method (look it up) or you could buy a samsung SH-D162C (look it up) which is easier.


These are the major questions i see in the forums any more noob questions are welcome on this thread or if any experienced modders can contribute any more common question asked constantly just pm me and i will add it in

Sorry if it feels like i am trying to reorganize the forum or something but ps2meance leaving really pushed me to do this.

this is gonna be good. add a few more noob questions in here, add some links to tutorials and materials. keep workin on this, and i think it'll get stickied ;)

btw PS2Menace didn't leave because of noob questions, infact, for the most part he didn't mind noobs. he left because of flagrant piracy and fraud

PS: add a section about best media to write to, seeing as I don't even know other than verbatim.

Great, Could I ask a noob question?

Just got a flashed Xbox 360. Now I do not want to go online since i dont have live, I would like to connect my xbox to my router so I could play videos from my PC.

I know that if you connect to Xbox Live with a flashed xbox360, you will be banned.

So what will happen when I connect my xbox 360 to my router to my PC? will it result in an automatic ban?

If you flashed with ixtreme and use stealth backups you should be fine but no if you dont connect to xbox live and just connect to your router and stream videos ect, you will not get banned. I have ixtreme and play online all the time so i doubt u will get banned even if you do connect to xbox live.

Can your computer read xbox 360 games and then change the files on the game disc?

My Samsung drive is already flashed with xtreme 4.2B. I haven't played it on Live yet. To flash it with ixtreme do I have to flash it back to the original firmware or can I just overwrite it?

i haven't read much about backing up on 360 ps2 was easy but anyway would you loose quality backing up a 360 disc?

No you cannot change data on a 360 disk because as soon as you modify any file on the disk you have broken the signature

As long as u have your orig.bin backup up and you have hexeditted your new firmware yes you can just overwrite with a samsung but hitactchi i am not to sure of.

And yes the copy of the 360 disk is the exact copy NOTHING MISSING otherwise we would shrink them down till they fit a dvd-5 (that will be the day :)
