Hey I just bought a PSP and downgraded from 3.50 to 1.50. Now when I try to play my games even the ones I bought I get this message "To start you must update the system software." I asked someone on another forum and they told me to upgrade to 3.40 OE. I don't really want to do this because I just had a PSP and had to sell it because I upgraded it and got stuck in 3.11 version. Ive done this before with no problem, just cant figure out what I did wrong. Thanks for all feedback.

What's wrong is that your PSP firmware is too old to support the features of the games you want to play (unless all of your games are launch titles.)

Whoever told you to upgrade to 3.40 OE-A was right, don't confuse 3.40 OE-A with 3.40; 3.40 OE-A is NOT official Sony firmware--it has all the abilities of 1.50 while offering the most of the newest firmware. If you upgrade to 3.40 OE-A, you will be able to downgrade again (not that you'd want to) without problem.
