devhook wont start and play any of my games

i got devhook 0.52 with 3.11 firmware on it. but when i choose the game i want to play and start devhook it says a little thing in the corner and the screen turns black, then my psp shuts off. anybody know anything???

It's probably because the game you are trying to play has a firmware later than 3.11. If that's not the problem, then it's probably because the latter versions of devhook were unstable and bugged because Custom Firmware outdated devhook.

I has very hesitant to go to Custom Firmware because I was sure that after Dark-Alex left, the custom firmware scene would be in shambles and devhook would have a resurgence; however, team M33 has proven the custom firmware is here to stay.

In short, I think you should upgrade to custom firmware, either 3.40 OE-A or 3.52 M33-2.
