I bought a faulty psp. The wifi and memory slot aren't working and it comes up with this error if I try to connect with wifi. I googled and apparently everyone who gets the error have dropped their psp...so the previous owner must have dropped it.

Anyway just wondering. Does everyone think this repair part is what I need to make everything work again?

Also the UMD drive doesn't load games. It makes a loud loading sound and the loading symbol at the bottom corner shows but it won't load. Also, the UMD option under games in the menu doesn't show. Is this normal if ther's no UMD in the PSP? Or should it show even if there's no UMD in the PSP?

Are there any ways to fix this or do I need to buy a new UMD laser/drive? I have an Australian PSP....so if I buy a UMD drive from USA or Hong Kong will that change the region coding on my PSP? So rather than playing region 4 UMD movies, will it only play region 1? Thanks
