Sorry if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it when I searched.

I was reading the tutorial for running GCOS on a MAX Drive PRO mem card for GC. The product line has been discontinued, like the first post said, and it's rare to find one on ebay now. Some people have speculated that the same effect can be achieved using a normal MAX drive but with MAX Drive PRO software. Is this true? I haven't found any conclusive results yet.
