Can't Convert to DivX

My front room DVD player will not play XviD, it will only play DivX.
I have 2 donwloads that lose sound sink when I convert them with my normal converter (IMToo).
Since I haven't figured out the magic FourCC combination I tried Auto GK, and even that doesn't work.

The Auto GK log is as follows:

When I look for the *_agk file it simply does not exist.

GSpot says this video codec is Divx but the Name is listed a Xvid 1.0.3

Anybody have any suggestions?

With the FourCC changer, select 'DivX' from the first dropdown list, then select 'DivX' from the second list, select the file and 'apply'.

Thanks for your reply.

When I open FourCC it says :

code XVID
codec DX50

After I type in DivX in both slots and apply then GSpot says:

codec DivX
Name XviD 1.0.3

This will not play on my DVD player.

Is their anything else I can try?

try converting with VirtualDub.

Download Virtualdub.
Download and install the DivX codec.(free version) and run VirtualDub.
Load the video file from the file menu.
Click 'Video' 'Compression', select DivX, ok.
'File' 'Save as AVI'
