[Solved] Slimline SCHP-70003 Drive Replacement

Hello.

I've got a faulty Ps2 here, SCHP-70003. When I insert a DVD-Based disc on bootup nothing displays on screen, when I take the disc out it will load as normal. I'd assume this is the drive. It'll read CD-Rom Based games.

If this is a drive error can I:

Remove the current drive in the console.

Replace the drive with a drive out of an LG DVD-Rom Drive?
