Hi,

I have installed Any DVD ok and its sampling a dvd ok.
I have installed Dvd shrink ok and that loads the DVD file and show's all folders / files etc.

But when i come to back up then it starts for a moment, shows a few scenes then says it cant read from the E: drive ( my dvd drive ) as the file is copy protected ?

copy protection error - the read failed because the sector is encrypted

Now i have tried this with various dvd's and it still comes up with the same message.

All I am trying to do is rip the files to my hard drive.

I am using a LITE ON DVD RW LH-18A1H dvd drive.

this is the anydvd info the dvd

ok, i did that and upgraded to the latest version.
rebooted.
put a dvd back in the drive.
it see's it ok and produces the same message as above

and then dvd shrink ( ver 3.2 ) produces the same error message of disk encrypted !

i thought this program was supposed to be the dogs.

i must be doing something wrong, any clues ?

i can burn dvd's ok as i have backed up files to the writer and it plays ok, so it cant be the drive, it must be a software issue.

Would appreciate some constructive ideas.

Thanks
Mark

If this isn't a recent rerelease I would think DVD Shrink could probably handle the movie by its lonesome...AnyDVD isn't needed. You might even try ripping with DVD Decrypter or DVDFab HD Decrypter first and then import the files into DVD Shrink.

DVDFab HD Decrypter
