It started with one backup that had little green rectangles in the background appear once in awhile while playing. I thought it was beacuse it was on a philips dvd+, while my other backups are on memorex or sony dvd+, but now even those backups are starting to get the green retangles appear while playing, now more often and in more numbers. Anyone know what could it be? dirty lens? having to due with recent upgrade? burn speed of disc effected due to higher disc read of the wii now?
I got a wiikey on a 1st style motherboard wii ntsc firm 3.

Have you got Wiiconnect24 on or left it in poor ventilated areas?

My friend just got his new wii back from nintendo. The old one has its Graphic card overheated with wiiconect24.

Although they said it's a rumour but I'll rather trust my friend.

It costs the price of a brand new Wii, or an out of warranty repair, which you probably won't get as you modded your Wii.

There is no other fix.

yes whole wii or pay a repair place i wouldnt pay for the repairs when the grafix card is gone you have to chnage the whole motherboard in a console because its all soldered toghter unlike PC cards so you will have to pay to get a new mainboard + your chip is on your mainboard so you will have to try to eat the solder with soemthing and keep the chip but you will have to solder it again.
I dont know your choice i for one know i wouldnt install a pre used chip do the rectanggles annoy you if its just a small flicker leave it until it burns out or something it wont make a diff since your changing all but the cd drive but its really your choice you need to think
MotherBoard+ Labour would go for about 200au
Chip Reinstalation something like 50au new wii is 400au here.

actually the chip is on the Bottom of the Disc Drive and has nothing to do with the Motherboard, though replacing the motherboard... fuck it buy a new one, the chip should be easy enough to uninstall.
