Hi, I got a few questions about Laptop cooler fans with 360's?
1. Is it safe to use a laptop notebook cooler fan with an Xbox 360?
2. Is a laptop notebook cooler loud or quiet?
3. How much should a good notebook cooler thats recommended for the 360 cost?
4. Are there any cooler fans made for 360 that are worth getting? If so, I want one thats quiet and one that actually works and also doesn't cause 360 problems, because the Nyko Intercooler v2 fan I have is very loud.
yes they make a very good one. It is from Talismoon and comes in 3 LED colors. They replace the stock fan inside the 360 and help greatly with heat. Those snap on "coolers" are just piles of worthless junk.

no, they are not louder, mine is pretty quite. They are called a "wisper" fan after all, LOL
And if you want a cheap and easy solution without opening it up then get a fan at Wal-Mart or something. Like a small fan you can point at the unit. It will have 20 times the airflow of those add on coolers or a notebook fan.

Other tips, keep it off the floor, especially carpet. I personally use my old fat PS2 which is on the floor, then a VCR tape, then the 360. So all vents are 100% clear and barely any surface area touches something to create heat.
Also entertainment centers are nice but a 360 will not get the airflow it needs inside one, i know several people who have gotten the red ring due to overheating because it was in an entertainment center. My one friend took his out and propped it up off the floor with 4 shot glasses, LOL, and has not had a problem since.
Keep you houes cool, you can have all the air flow you want, but if your house is 80 degrees then all your doing is moving hot air over the system.
