Anyway, my PSP has firmware version 3.02. Is there any way to downgrade to a lower firmware without buying a game, or to upgrade to a custom firmware?
im afriad not. do you ahve lumines or gta lcs requiring the 2.00 upgrade? im afraid you can't downgrade unless you have those. sorry. but if you have any of them upgrade to 3.03 if u have gta or upgrade to 3.50 if u have lumines.
no. our countries do absolutley everythin they can to make you pay for a video game (u know the only reason you downgrade is to play downloaded games) for free. just do it yourself. oh and if you live in toronto area....take it to pacific mall and theyll do it for $50 , you shouldnt have to pay tho!!!!!

I suggest you go to like a blockbuster and rent GTA and hope that it is the un-patched version you get. If it is un-patched then you are in luck, we or can help you from there. I just finished upgrading a friends PSP (the test rat) to 3.03 then downgrading it to 1.5.

ULES-00151 on the UMD
If the UMD has a picture of a gun and still has ULES-00151 on it then you are good.
That is a un-patched GTA. Feel free to be glad.

i went to a rogers video store about 6 months ago. I saw gta lcs. i went to rent it about june 2007 for my grad trip but it wasnt there, nor did they have a new one there. i was pretty sure they took it out someheow cuz of sony. is that right? if it is then they probly will do the same for lumines :P my friend has it unpatched and he doesnt even know it! hehe im gonna scam him for it.
