I modded a few wiikeys before. I was wondering if i can put a switch that i got from radioshack between the soldering point for the power and the point on the chip with a long wire and set the switch somewhere out side the wii system. That way you can turn on or off anytime, just incase.

Yes, that is possible.

Make sure you don't flip the switch with the console powered on though, that could be bad.
