hey,
so, i've been trying to fix my ps2, it's been making an awful grinding and chattering noise whenever I try to boot a game and then will not load any games or dvds. So, I've opened it up a couple of times, cleaned it out and the like but now I've run into a bigger problem. I have a flip lid on my ps2 and so to get to the guts of the machine, i opened the disc tray and turned it off and then opened my flip lid so as I could see the parts around the laser. The problem is that now whenever I attempt to close the disc tray, the mechanics rise up and the disc tray is blocked by the wheel that the disc normally spins on. Is there any way to fix this or have I completely messed my ps2 up? :)

Is there a mechanical part of the ps2 that is not in the original spot?

Evidently, something is grinding on something, so pieces are not in the places where they should be.

Can you adjust anything to make things level inside the ps2?
