no idea, but DVDFab HD Decrypter (free) can.
you can still use DVD Shrink or programs of choice afterwards.

The quality is excellent but the only difference over regular Verbatim is the fancy movie reel top.I like the +R's also.

Dvd+r's booktype set to DVD-Rom are the most Compatible with stand alone dvd players. If the Dvd-r's work for your players than it doesn't really matter.

what are you using to read the HD DVD? Do you have a player installed in your computer? and what is the size file you have after the rip?

I haven't messed with HD yet, and I was just wondering. Everything seems to be $$$ when it comes to HD.

ahh yeah my book type has always been set to DVD-Rom , but DVD +R still fails to play in EVERY DVD player , anyway i picked up the Toshiba Xbox 360 drive , $ 160 on e bay with 5 titles , work fine i know the newer drives have up to date firmware with lossless sound and whatever but it still works. Makes a nice external DVD-ROM ,BUt really wish it could burn too.
