One other thing, "Verbatim Digital Move DVD-R" Anyone know the quality of these?

Use the (+) Verbatims as they can (if Shrink can process this DVD)be bitset to DVD-Rom is your burner is able to do that

The quality is excellent but the only difference over regular Verbatim is the fancy movie reel top.I like the +R's also.

hey thanxs just what i was looking for . btw how much HDD are we going to use processing this hd-dvd . REALLY verbatim's +R btw 2 it didnt take as long to rip it to the HDD as i thought it would i used any 6136 and it took about an hour and some change. Sorry to say my rig pc whatever wont support HD-dvd play back the graphics card is to sh**ty .

I like to use DVD-R other then the DVD+r just beacuse I hear there more Compatible with stand alone dvd players other than the dvd+r

Dvd+r's booktype set to DVD-Rom are the most Compatible with stand alone dvd players.If the Dvd-r's work for your players than it doesn't really matter.

what are you using to read the HD DVD? Do you have a player installed in your computer? and what is the size file you have after the rip?
I haven't messed with HD yet, and I was just wondering. Everything seems to be $$$ when it comes to HD.

Havent ripped one yet. waiting for netflix to send it. I have a Toshiba SD-H802A. Let you know when I do.

ahh yeah my book type has always been set to DVD-Rom , but DVD +R still fails to play in EVERY DVD player , anyway i picked up the Toshiba Xbox 360 drive , $ 160 on e bay with 5 titles , work fine i know the newer drives have up to date firmware with lossless sound and whatever but it still works. Makes a nice external DVD-ROM ,BUt really wish it could burn too.
