I have an mpg which i would like to stream to the 360, I can connect no problem to the pc from the 360, i can see the window which has a frame which looks like thee start of the movie, but it won't play.

Does the 360 stream mpg's?

any suggestions to make it work?

It will only stream .wmv and h.264 by default. If you want to stream .mpg then you need Media Center or TVersity or Orb.

There is a sticky at the top of the thread that states "How to stream all video on the 360 without Media Center"

Please refer to the sticky topics as they contain much useful information to prevent duplicate posts such as this.
