Hi all,
i just bought my new PSP today and it has 3.10 OE-A Firmware version.
I read some threads and Tuts here, knew a little about the downgrade - upgrade of PSP but not sure.
Can someone tell me , how can I update my PSP to version 3.52 M33-2? ---> what for a noob question, ^^
Thanks so much!!
Why would you want to upgrade to Team M33. Upgrade to 3.40OE-A. It is the most stable and has the highest compatibility with ".iso" and ".cso" game files. I tried 3.52 M33-2 and I think I'll wait to test the final version of 3.52 M33. Hopefully, it won't take 7 updates before they fix all the bugs.
can you explain what bugs you are talking about in 3.52 M33-2?
also, 3.52 M33-2 runs every single game (and 99% of them in no-UMD mode too). not sure what issues you have had with M33 but it is a very good FW (and of course VERY similar to OE given that they reversed OE to make it).
the only people who complain about it not running games are those with bad dumps or rips that have been butchered.

You have a point, I no longer trust my downloaded ".cso". I got a subscription to GameFly to rip them myself because I got tried of these people editted out background music, pictures, and clips. I downloaded Daxter at 300MB. I then ripped it at 1.35GB. lol. Every time I talked to someone, the entire clip skips. However, The new iR Shell 3.6 designed specifically for 3.52 M33-2 locks up every time. I installed on mine and my friends exactly written in readme. Same thing, locks up. However, I installed manually to flash iR Shell 3.6 on 3.40OE-A, didn't lock up once and everything worked perfectly. (Thanks iR Shell). That's just one of my beefs with Team M33! I have a list!
you are right in that M33 seems to have more homebrew problems than OE, but the no-UMD driver is much better
kind of simple to say at the moment, but it is almost OE for homebrew, M33 for isos (although OE is more forgiving I think on whether the iso is a proper dump or some rip)
to be honest, the fact no games require >3.40 FW means OE will live on for a while yet. not sure if the new Tomb Raider (which says 3.50FW) runs on 3.40OE-A though???
