I wouldn't hold your breath. With each new version of Firmware, Sony is creating a more and more "secure and stable" firmware. With the help of Dark_Alex giving away the strategies and methods he used to reverse engineer a custom Firmware, it won't be too long now until Sony releases a Firmware that can never be downgraded, emulated, hacked, exploited, or anything of the sort. It is because of people like Dark_Alex that Sony is now putting a lot of pressure of gaming companies to create UMD's that cannot be used in exploits. They're getting serious about this.

Don't you think that with Sony having coders who can create the official FW from the ground up that they didn't reverse the first OE that DA ever made?
The main bad thing about the leaked OE source is the hoards of fakes who are going to rip DA off and release OE clones with their names all over them. Many will surely be brickers as well...

That's straight out of the mouth of one of the greatest PSP coders to have ever hit the scene.
Either way, I think I might go pick up myself of copy of medi-evil, just in case it's the truth (yes I hoarded Lumines, too.)

You are aware that as of today/tonight/i don't care what time it is where you live, this Medi-Evil exploit is only rumors and no official (unofficial, Sony hates all of us) exploit has been released by any team. When we can make a real working downgrader out of it, I'm sure M33 or Leaked Edition will be the first to jump on it. Since D_A left, there are several new teams revealing themselves compeating for the title Top Dog. If the rumor is true, it won't take long for someone to get it. And remember, the first one to release a working downgrader will earn bragging rights until the next big downgrader! Boo-ya!
Why did sony have to get all mid evil on us and go and make firmwares that cant be hacked they probably are trying to get the point of why we should use the psp.
