ok i got a usb cord an i wan know how i download the internet on to it i was told to go to sonyplaystation.com an it would have an icon to click for downloading the internet but its not there i have been looking aroun for 2 hours can u help me

wats your firmware. cause if it doenst have internet than its pretty low. and you should get a cfw if its that low already.

just open the UMD drive and check just like you would if you put in a game. There is no need to do anything else

well if there is no numbers then you could go to a custom firmware. Do you want to do that? I can't seem to find a solution to your problem. IMO it will be better to go to a custom firmware

yeah it's still possible to downgrade you'll just have to do a different method. It's up to you whether you want to downgrade or not.

LOL. Well you can use the internet if you have a router. Just go under network settings and put your info. in. If you don't.... you can't use the internet.
