I was told that Xbox made after Dec. 2006 were nearly impossible to Mod....this is a problem because my 360 just gave me a e 74 error and nothing seems to work, plus it was modded so there is no way im sending it back to M$....I plan one buy a new 360 and modding it, but is it true that only ones made before Dec. 2006 are "mod-able"???

No its not, you can mod some 2007 models, it depends if you get the one you require or not.

Plus there's still plenty of old stock on shelves across the country. You just need to check the lot numbers on the box.
