Well...Mine is the Japanese Wii with Wiikey installed. And now it is semi-bricked. However, I have recently just finished a copied game of the Dragon Ball Z - Sparking Neo (JP version). When I inserted the game, it just said something about memory card and batteries and then the Wii remote and nunchuck have become unusable. Whatever you do, you can't start the game and the remote just is of no use. The batteries of my controller is full and it is sync perfectly with the wii. Has anybody have this experience?

try unplugging the wii's powercable and put it back in

Do you have a Game Cube Controller plugged into your Wii?

There have been games that have been released (Mortal Combat) that gives you the choice to play with Wiimote/Game Cube Controller. I think Dragon Ball Z - Sparking Neo is 1 of these games.

If you have the Game Cube Controller plugged in the Wii the default setting is set to use the Game Cube Controller which disables the Wiimote. In order to use the Wiimote you need to unplug the Game Cube controller.
