yea...my new phone has bluetooth capabilities...(which dont...? haha) anyway...is it possible to somehow sync my phone with my ps3 and possibly use it as a microphone...? if this is possible id rip off my balls and eat them...

I got my PS3 the other day and have been wanting to try some phone related stuff on it for ages. Recon things like the media player remote must be compatible already

Well, just spent a good few hours trying various methods to get the things to link and unfortunately no success. thought I might be able to trick the PS3 into thinking my phone was a remote by pairing it with my laptop first, but no. Guess that's because it's paired with the laptop already and not searching for a device to connect with. Future firmware update it is...

Maybe a stupid question, but how do i get it to pair up with my laptop

If you're running Windows XP SP2 and have a bluetooth dongle attached to your laptop you should be able to search for your phone. It will then talk you through the stages of pairing the two devices (takes about 2 mins). That will then allow you to use it as a desktop, presenter, and media player remote, as well as transfer files and maybe a few other feature depending on your phone.
