if i can read and write to my samsung ms25 that means it is unmodded right.

i have no backups to check with. also it was prevosly modded with ixtreme 1.2revc.


i unmodded it theni went back to the xread 1234567 12345
and it made a backp. that means that itts is unmodded right

1. No, because if you couldn't read/write to a modded drive, then how could you ever revert it back to original or upgrade to a newer fw.

2. If it was previously flashed with ixtreme 1.2c and you flashed the orig.bin ooverwriting the ixtreme 1.2c fw, then it's unmodded.

0800 mode is only for hitachi's not samsungs...

what you need to do is Xread serial number
and check that firmware that it dumps to see if its modded or not...

Your question has been answered 2 times alreay but here's a 3rd.

Dump your current firmware as "orig.bin" and open that file in FWToolbox 4

It'll tell you if it's original or not.

you dont need that for the ms25..
i have never had to do that,just dump the firmware 0800 is not even in the mix

you dont need that for the ms25..
i have never had to do that,just dump the firmware 0800 is not even in the mix
ok if the 0800 disc isn't needed then how do u turn off the firmguard there buddy.

also Mehtevas thanks i didn't know u could use firmware tollbox for samsungs. thoguht they were only for hitachi
