first what firmware do you have, because you need custom firmware like 3.40oe-a or something not,1.5 wont play iso's just by itself
1.5 > 2.71 > 2.81 > 3.03 >GTA LCS< 1.5 > 3.40oe-a
1 semibrick recovered back to 1.5 > 3.40oe-a
white TA-082 fully bricked using wrong downgrade another white TA-082 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.40oe-a then to 3.52m33 > 1.5 > 3.80 ofw > pandora battery & magic memory stick to get 1.5 then 3.52m33 > 3.71m33 > 3.80m33, psp's still alive!!!

then creat a ISO folder in the root of you memory stick (the first thing you see when you connect usb)and put it in there, then you need to disconnect usb and go to game and then down to memory stick and press x
1.5 > 2.71 > 2.81 > 3.03 >GTA LCS< 1.5 > 3.40oe-a
1 semibrick recovered back to 1.5 > 3.40oe-a

stick the mem card in ur reader, open mem card in the browser or whatever
has alot of folders right?
create the folder ISO
put your iso's in the folder
put memcard back in psp.
it will work.
aslong as the file structure is there and u should have ur iso folder like this X being the mem card X:\ISO\game.iso
get it?
u don't need the cable but u shuld still get one cuz it's handy....for now use the card reader.

You need to unpack the rar file first before you put it on your memory stick...The iso is inside the rar archive.
Also, you do not need UMD emulator-you are already using custom firmware..That is an outdated program like devhook which was used for getting iso games to run under 1.50 firmware..

you need to get a hold of a program called WINrar-Install that on your computer, and then you just right-click on your rar file (the icon will look like a stack of books)and select "extract here" or extract to folder...Then take the extracted file and put it in your ISO folder on your memory stick.

Do you have any custom themes on your PSP, sometimes a custom theme can conflict with iso loading/playing, but first check these options out.
Go into recovery mode and check these settings:
1) Go in to the Configuration folder
2) Make sure the the 'Use No-UMD' is DISABLED (if its alreadt disabled, ENABLE it and try it out)
3) If your 'Kernel Mode' is set on 3.03, change it to 'Kernel Mode 1.50'
4)Make sure it isnt a Movie inside the UMD Drive, it wont work, it has to be a game
Let us know if any of this helped
EDIT: Also, make sure that when you put an iso in there, that the name IS NOT LONGER THAN 25 Characters, give the iso a short name if it doesnt show up, thatll fix alot of problems :)

it has to be in mp4 format, you can use this program PSP video 9 download to convert to mp4 format or use Total Video Converter (which is not free but supports more files)
