Has anyone ever written software to read data from a DVD drive using the Windows OS? I know that LINUX has driver calls you can use but documentation on Windows is lacking. It should be possible to write software to do a straight data dump from a CD/DVD with no decoding into a text file on the C:\drive, and then dump the data in the text file back onto a writable DVD. Probably need to get the address of the IDE registers on the motherboard and how to control them right?
