Is there a way to figure that the memory stick is a fake one, or an original one, i mean, physical differences !!

Write the maximum amount of storage to the card. Read it back from the card. Check that the file matches the original file. If the writing or reading takes very long time, or if the data doesn't match, the card s faking its capacity and is certainly fake. If the data is correct, the card might still be fake, but at least it holds the capacity it's supposed to.

its SUPPOSE to say magicgate supported.. well im not sure you can tell just by looking at it.. but i heard they use a cheaper metal on the memory stick which makes it fake.. if your going to buy from ebay... just make sure its not from hong kong... and you cant really go wrong... i wanted to try one out.. so i bought one for 35 dollars on ebay... a 4 gb... the same ones he was trying to sell go for 45-50.... so i got lucky on the bid.. hopefully it plays isos, and 1939ish.. thats reasonable..my girlfriend gots a 512 and it only spares 4 something.. and i have an actualy sandisk 2 gb... and its only 19 something.. so yeah.. if the memory stick duo works well. ill let you guys know who the seller is, the only problem is, you never know how long they will last.

It's not impossible to tell... mutter..

Look at ebay more closely when you're searching for purchases! :D Here

The guides are sometimes useful. That'll show you how.

Usually the fake memory stick will be flimsy feeling but a bit thicker in width so it doesnt go into the memory stick slot easily-Also the lettering on the memstick will normally rub off if you take your fingernail to it..Or the lettering itself is often mispelled on fake ones...

I believe that when you press triangle on the memory stick icon and go to information it should display whether magicgate is supported or not. If it does it's real, if it doesn't then it's fake.

Thats right..A fake will say "unknown", "unsupported", or it will be just blank after the MagicGate: A genuine will only say "supported".

It's cheaper and it looks it. It's an off black (greyish).

Note that he asked if you were holding them in your hands... Check the guide I posted, it lists every possible physical difference between the card and packaging.
