Hi I have now successfully chipped to Xboxes, firstly, my mates, with a X-BIT chip and secondly my own with the Xecutor 2.2 lite +. I have overcome a few problems with both chips but nothing serious. However I'd like to recommend the Xecutor 2.2 lite + as its one of the easiest chips ive ever come across. It simply places in an easy spot doesn't take ANY soldering and the LED system is very helpful and COOL. This was also the best chip as it can use the CD method when flashing it with a new bios, which even though people have had sooo many problems with I found that any sought of DVD+R (my friend tested 5 makes which all worked but the fastest to load was Philips) CD will boot perfectly from the Cromwell screen. The Xbit USB system is quite useful but their instructions on the website are V complicated so I found a good few tutorials from www.xbox-scene.com worked better. Finally for you people who wish to install Evox and other Homebrew applications (like 99% of us) should use Slayers Auto Evox Installer v2.5 it is totally up-to-date and comes with super easy instructions nicely layed out with pictures. You can use Slayer's once you have flashed the chip, i recommend the X2 4977 bios, which there are plenty of tutorials for this at www.xbox-scene.com AND don't forget to SEARCH around this place for your answer its bound to be there!! Ok well this turned out to be not so little but never mind!
