If I was to use a site like http://www.david-pye.com/freewap/index.php (or any other better ones you uys might know) to upload an mp3 file that I have cropped to be just the chorus of the song I want, will I be able to download it on my phone using WAP and use it as a ringtone? I have a RAZR and I am from Canada using Aliant Mobility so I wont have to deal with all that Verizon toubles I have been reading about in america. Also, I see that site I posted has .jar files. If I was to go on that site and download those would I ahave free games on my phone too?

As long as they specify that they are free .jar games-just be sure there are no hidden charges aside from what your carrier charges you for data transfer..You need to get a program called "midway 2.8" (or whatever the current version is) so you can load the jar and jad files to your phone..I think you need a P2K type of program as well to create the menu option in your phone so you can drag and drop via USB...It has been quite a while since I have messed with java games on my phones (V3 and V551)

As far as making ringtones from Mp3's-I use a program called "Audacity"-and it works very well..You can trim as much or as little of an MP3 to make ringtones or sound bites for your text message alerts, or other alerts..

Yeah, I've done the same thing with Audacity on my old E815 but now I have a RAZR without a usb plug in the side (which I thought was weird) so I was tryin to get them on using wap since I have free email and free downloading fees for the first 2 months of my new phone. Got any suggestions?

That site you linked in your last post should do the trick until you get a hold of a USB cable-But I dont know if you can get java games onto your phone via WAP, I have never tried it that way...But I guess it wouldn't hurt to try though, right?

Oh, my mistake! So how do you charge the phone? Is there a connector at the bottom of the phone? I imagine there would be a cable you could get for it that would plug into your computer as well as charge the phone at the same time.

ohhh!, haha
I should have thought of this before haha
It never crossed my mind that the USB Cable and the Charger would go in the same slot in the phone. Makes sense now, I just gotta find the cash to get me the cable and then I get the free ringtones.
On my old E815 there was a USB Cable for the memory card and then a memory card slot in the phone too, I kinda miss that with the RAZR.
By the way, I couldnt get that site to work for me. I went to the WAP version of it on my phone and it only allowed to to listen to some of the ringtones and sounds on there but not to download them to my phone. I don't quite get it yet.
As you can tell I am new to all this WAP/Phone stuff

Yeah, I've only used WAP sites for downloading pictures a few times-Never had much luck with it either..I would just look around for a reasonably priced cable to get stuff transferred to your phone..Do you have a newer V3? Because mine has the mini-usb connector on the side for charging and for connecting to the computer...

That looks just like mine...That port on the side is where you connect your usb cable..It also charges your phone battery while its hooked up to the computer-I lost my adapter, so I just use the usb cable to charge my phone now, and the same cable works for data transfer for my digital camera, and my PSP...Pretty handy!

So the same cable works for you digital camera and your phone? If so, I will try to borrow a digital camera cord from one of my friends to gfet so quick, free ringtones.

Yeah, I use one cable for my camera, phone, and PSP...They are easy to find in stores too...Or like you said, if you have someone that has an extra one you can borrow-that would work too.
