Hi all,

I read that some Wii's can't be modded - how do you find out which can and cant?

How come there is no guide to modding Wii's here yet?

I hear that if you solder a Wii mod directly to the Wii, they are damned hard to remove - anyone got any thoughts on this?

Can you get into a Wii so that it looks un touched?

Cheers

Try searching for past threads that have already answered all of your questions.

the only wii that can't be mod currently is the D2C chipset.
There no guide because every chip is different, all of them solder to the same point but some need a eternal switch. Why solder directly to the wii when you can used wired and can be easily removed. The only chip that make the wii looked untouched is the wiinja deluxe, wiikey, and the wiid, because this chip doesn't need a switch.

OK, Done a search but can't find the info.

How can you tell what chipset you have from your serial?

You can't. The only way to tell is to open the Wii and have a look.

Again doing a search would have answered this question as well.

Well FYI I spent ages searching finding loads of different stuff (ie people talking about lists and other sites, but no links) and it took Mark187 seconds to type that.
