So, I'm sure anyone who has played Madden 08 knows it full of bugs, especially the online game. The huge lag, even on a fast connection, the snap throw bug, the franchise mode quitting without saving, disconnects, hurry up play = penalty. etc etc.

My question is, are wii games patchable?

I really hope so. If not, for the love of god, don't buy Madden '08 for the online multiplayer.
