I'm a total newb in this PSP world... and I just bought a PSP with "Custom homebrew ready 3.52 firmware
So here I am, reading all over the forums that after installing 3.52 your screwed because it can't be downgraded again..
So I called shop which sold me the PSP and they tell me that they can downgrade it anytime...
Please answer these questions, pretty please :
1) Which firmware should I go for to be able to run "it all"
2) Can the shop downgrade this 3.52 to 2.00 as they say they can? or should I ask for my money back?

are you sure its not custom firwmare check to see in system information (in system settings) and then see what it reads beside version. If they can they should downgrade to 1.50 then to a CUSTOM firmware *unless it already is at one). I think the only way the can downgrade it is with a jig kick i think.

But then, why would they downgrade to 2.0?
Find out how much it costs for them to downgrade it, because it's false advertisement to sell it as 'homebrew ready' while it's at 3.52. If I were you I'd go back, make them downgrade it for free(or max $10CAD) and smack them in the head for being idiots.
3.52 is in no way custom anything ready.. but as was stated, make sure it's 3.52 firmware.

Well that's good, you didn't get ripped off then! You can use homebrew and play ISO's now. Format your memory stick and ISO's go in the ISO folder, and for homebrew either read the readme, or it goes in the game150 folder.

I would have thought it was just an accurate way for Sony to know when my warranty was up so my system could self-destruct and I'd have to get a new one. :)
m33 is fine, you should be able to do all (cept themes I think) so go for it!
