Alright, so I just bought a pstwo slim V12 from a buddy at work. I bought it used for $90. I thought it was a great deal. I played with it for a week testing it out and everything seemed all right. I decided I wanted to get a modchip for it.

I put it on the table and print out some disassembly instructions on the internet. I take the whole thing apart and then notice something funny. There is already a modchip on there. But it was strange because the warranty sticker was still on the case. I guess my friend had bought it used as well without knowing it was modded. So I get all excited because I figure I'd saved $50. Go me! I put it carefully back together making sure not to damage anything at all. I plug everything back in and put a disc in. I turn it on and.... nothing happens. "uh.. ok" I thought. I tried it again to no avail. I took the disc out and cleaned the lens. Still no bloody luck. Now when I try it the laser keeps going up and down trying to read the disc and the disc motor just starts and stops. Never actually spinning up to speed. I have no idea what's wrong and have found no solution on the internet. I am thinking the laser is toast. It doesn't look very bright. I am pissed and have no clue what to do.

Someone please help an honest fellow out.

OH btw, the chip is a Magic V VKX, or something. I read they suck balls.... yay.

Make sure all the ribbon cables are securely attached, and also check to see if any of the wiring from the motherboard to the chip have come loose.

Yes,I have checked all the ribbons. I even cleaned some of the contacts. I also checked the wires and none seemed to be loose. Are there any specific ones I should be looking at that pertain to this problem?
