My modded ps2 used to play burned games just fine, but now it just goes to the red "please insert ps2 or ps1 disc" screen. It plays originals just fine though, can anybody help?

What modchip has it got installed inside it? Could be that its been disabled, or one of the wires have broken loose.

What mod are you using?

What version of ps2 do you have?

If its the older non-slim ones, you might have to open it up and clean the laser as well as adjust the cog wheel.
