DGEN AD HOC COMM ERROR versions 1.6 and 1.7

Hey guys Im kinda new but. I've been able to downgrade 8 psp using Lumines no bricks. Change the themes. So this might sounds crazy... How the hell do i get the DGEN v1.6 or 1.7 to let me play ad hoc.

The steps Ive taken.

I have two PSPs. 3.40 OE
Start up DGEN. I made sure ive installed same version on each PSP.
Go into the settings. I wanted to play sonic or tecmo bowl with a friend. I then turned on the ad hoc. First attempt I set both to 2p COMM... When it says initializing. I get a COMM error.

Second attempt. I select 1p COMM on PSP1 then 2p COMM on psp2 of course i selected save current settings. Again I'm getting a comm error. DGEN wont even initialize the ad hoc. Its a black scree just says comm error. PLEASE HELP.. THANKS IN ADVANCE

useing wi fi requires a internet hot spot or wireless connection
