Help!! Lol. I ofthen troll here at afterdawn. I think some of the internet's best and brightest come here and offer valueable trouble shooting info. I am in need of some assistance. I am fairly capable in most modifications. I recently got a used ps2 for cheap. I reviewed the available mods. I have used the independance swap card method to mod some friend's ps2's. but for mine I became interested in the idea of a modchip. Since I lack expertise in soddering I decided to have a friend do the install. Now the modchip like initial matrix boot screen does fire up. But sadly the ps2 has stopped reading discs. It gives an odd error. Dvd player not setup. and it clicks. My friend has checked for any sort of splash sodder bridges. I am thinking this is something really simple. Now of note prior to this disassembly I did put this drive through some tests. It was performing excellant! So I don't think the laser is on it's way out or anything like that. Thanks for any assistance....
