hi my son has firmware 3.40 can i install the 3.50 firmware then use the lumines game which he has to eventually upgrade to the firmware which ive got on mine which is 3.03oec?
any help would be great

Yes, but i'd suggest upgrading to a newer CFW, either 3.40 OE-A or 3.52 M33.

The same way you got to 3.03 OE-C, but here's an auto-installer that will place the right files on your PSP for you.

ok ive got the easy installer.right so all i have to do now is upgrade to 3.50 from 3.40 then use lumines to go down to 1.50 then use the easy installer to put 3.40oe-a onto psp??
can i use the easy installer on my 3.03oe-c?
and if so will the 3.40oe-a do the same as 3.03oe-c??

Yes, you can use it on both the 1.5 and your 3.03 OE-C.

There's not really much difference from 3.03 OE-C to 3.40 OE-A, apart from the firmware, and most good custom themes are for 3.40 OE-A :)

right psp is now 3.50 from 3.40.ive got the downgrader package and it sasys this. (Unzip the 1.50 update to a temporary folder. Rename the EBOOT.PBP to
UPDATE.PBP and copy it to :/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/ . DO NOT
OVERWRITE PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP!)
right where is the 1.50 update as ive not seen it in this folder?is it actually called 1.50 update or is it the eboot file??

You'll need to get this file yourself, it can be found here. Download it, unzip it, name it UPDATE.PBP, then put it in the UPDATE folder on your PSP. (So in the UPDATE folder you will have both EBOOT.PBP and UPDATE.PBP)

thanks for your fast replys.so just to go over things again(sorry)
ive got the downgrader i open the msroot folder and it has the psp folder inside do i put the psp folder direct to my psp root of my memory stick? or do i open the psp folder and take the stuff out then put them over to the root?

Just put the files /folders as it shows, as in ms0:/PSP/UPDATE/(EBOOT.PBP and UPDATE.PBP)
