Hey ive installed 3.40 LE and i dont really like it but i gave it another chance with the update and after i updated it it semi bricked. i can still go to the recovery menu.. so i want to recoever back to 1.5 but everytime i try to recover it says 'ERROR DECRYPTING DATA.PSP' and then shuts off. Please help!

you need to download the recovery files from somewhere and put the the recovery folder in the game folder,and then run it,have you done that

Ok, its not bricked anymore, just when i play a game and when i try to go home it bricks.

Now what i want to go to 1.5. . and whenever i try it says the DATA.PSR thing

Use the 1.50 winstaller to dg back to 1.50 (try a clean install, mine always seem to work better that way). It might fix that DATA.PSR error u keep getting. I used to get problems upgrading from cfw to another cfw, so i go back to 1.50 first before putting a different cfw on my PSP and i don't run into any major problems.

The file used to be in the forums (Winstaller Thread) but i dont see it up there any more , but heres the link to the 1.50 Recovery file if you need it.

I know you already tried this but maybe you used a different method of recovery so maybe this 1 was a lil different from the files you got, GL man
