Well I was wondering what you have to do to play backed up xbox games from a burned dvd. I've heard that you have to change the firmware on your xbox, and I've also heard that you have to install a custom dashboard. So now I was wondering what exactly has to be done if anyone could help.

there are 2 ways to play backups:
1 softmod
2 modchip

once you have done either of these things you will be able to play backups go here : http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/536595#3246424

to find out how to do everything, it also explains what these 2 options are.
