Chat using bluetooth headset during online play

Please help.

I have connect my Bluetooth headset with my PS3 and is fully compatible. I know this because when I play the game Resistance: Fall Of Man, I can speak to my friends in the 'Lobby'. However, during game play, no one seems to hear me.

Is there a button to press before speaking so that other players can hear me?

Is there other settings I need to trigger before other players can hear me?

Well there might be some problems.

if you want to talk to everyone in game you have to hold down L3 and if you wanna open might you have to press start and change your squad. Other than those you might wanna turn your mic volume up.

Many thanks for your response.

I wonder if you could answer another question for me. During gameplay (Resistance: Fall Of Man), when other player is speaking I can see their name with a mic icon at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. If I use your method you suggested (hold down the L3 button to speak), will I see my own name on the bottom corner screen just like would see with the other players?

How do i turn the volume of my speaking in the mic not the volume i hear from other people, also is there a way i can here myself talk, like from the tv

go into resistance fom online menu and then go options audio device.
