Problem Ripping Dual-Layer DVDs

Hello all,

I am having difficulty ripping multi-layer DVDs. I've attempted this using DVD Decrypter, DVDShrink and SmartRipper, with no success. The DVD drive just seems to die (speed decreases until negligible) at exactly 44-50% complete.

I don't know if this is the point when the DVD is going to the second layer or what, but it is really starting to make my DVD-RW look like a shallow investment.

BTW, single-layer works great, no problems whatsoever ripping and burning via DVD Decrypter. Any answers or thoughts are appreciated!

(p.s. I ripped Down With Love (dual layer) with no problems, and it works fine. Used DVDShrink for that. Not sure why others aren't working)

What DVD burner do you have? Are you using DVD Shrink for example on it's own (you don't need to use Decrypter with it)?

Try using clonedvd and anydvd

Download the latest version of DVD Decrypter, it has many new features which might solve your problem!

Shrink should do the job by its self so you try that aswell. If all else fails, CloneDVD and AnyDVD will probs do it.

I finally got it working with DVDShrink again--for some reason just stopped, and now it works flawlessly again.
