actually they won't read the back of usa games, they say something about being ntsc, usa games are formatted in a way called ntsc, logically they will only work on ps2's set up to read ntsc formatted disks, not pal disks, which is the english way of formatting. English ps2's are set up only to read PAL disks, so no, usa games wont work on english ps2's
BUT, there are ways to bypass this annoyance (i think) but as i havnt tested it i cant garuntee it will work
method 1, you use swap magic
method 2, you do some soldering
method 3, i cant remember so google it.
