When i play xboxlive with an old router i can connect to all my friends and games online but i got a new router i couldnt connect to all those same people. I was wondering if there was a firewall or something that is blocking my IP address from connecting to my friends IP's

Note: I could still connect to the internet and sign in to xboxlive with the new router

It could be that you need to forward ports, some router need it to connect to games. Firewalls, antivirus programs and things like that can also cause problems so get a friend online and do some tests by shutting each program down and trying to connect. You should narrow it down.

yah i went to port forwarder.com and did a couple of things with my router and now my NAT is open when it was on strict
