Can i flash Cobra directly on GCOS?

I have GCOS BIOS loaded on my viper GC and I want to flash my viper to
Cobra. I normally used the cable and viper loader to fash. But my cable is no good anymore. Can i just burn the cobra ISO to a DVD and load it to my gamecube and flash it on GCOS menu.
