Sony DVD+R or -R?

Would it be better for me to burn my ps2 backups on a Sony DVD+R with DVD-ROM booktyping or just on a Sony DVD-R?

I heard both work equally as well. I use Sony +R 16xMAX Dvds for all my ps2 burning and have had no errors whatsoever so far. I burn at 8x speed, sometimes 4x for a big game just to be safe.
