I have been having problems with my PSP.
It turns on and works perfectly but there is one minor problem.
When I plug the AC Adapter in the psp, the psp sometimes automatically shuts off. Also when the AC Adapter is in, and I push the battery it stops charging.
I am thinking that this could be a loose connection of something but I don't know what it could be.
Thanks for any help

This could be a software glitch. I know in Windows XP and previous, sometimes if critical systems files become corrupt, inserting a USB device may cause it to shut down immediately. At least with computers, it is usually software error. Try the following:
Deep format your memory stick in Windows (uncheck quick format).
Format memory stick in XMB (Settings/System Settings/Format Memory Stick).
Run the 1.50 Recovery Winstaller and downgrade to 1.50 (Official).
Quick format memory stick in Windows and then format in XMB.
Install 3.52 M33 Custom Firmware.
Quick format memory stick in Windows and then format in XMB.
Install 3.52 M33-4 Update #4.
Deep format memober stick in Windows and then format in XMB.
You now have the most current and latest version of CFM currently available. At this point, if it continues to create problems with the AC Adapter, then it would be a short within the PSP. If, after this point, it fails, flash it back to 1.50 and then upgrade to 3.52 (Official) and take it back (The store usually checks the PSP and they legally cannot resell that PSP with custom Firmware on it) and get a brand new one.
Ok,
I did what crazykid3 the software part.
I'm on 3.52 M33 and it still sometimes shuts off.
I'm thinking that it is either a short or a loose connection somewhere.
I'm trying to return it but its hard to do that when you bought it off EBAY.
Thanks
ummm here are some choices you can do:
1) find a dumb person who has a hackable psp and trade it for yours.
2) sell it for a good price.
3) open it up and investigate.
