What xtreme do i have?

how do i find out what version of xtreme firmware i have? Also, if i wasa to update to iXtreme, would i need to flash my DVD drive with a PCI card etc?
And ive just noticed that my dashboard is 2.0.5759.0. And one more questions, if i was to update to the latest dashboard, would i still be able to play all my backups?
