problems converting NTSC disc to PAL disc

Need help please. A friend recently lended me a couple of NTSC discs and I am trying to copy it into my PC. Rawdump 2.0 detects it and dumping it fine but can't recognize the DVD Name to start off with. It labels the iso with this funny character "?£.iso", but the file size looks fine. Then I use RegionFree 1.20 to try convert the version to PAL but it gives me this error "File appears to be scrambled". Thinking that I need to unscramble it, I use the unscrambler program but the program thinks it is already in an unscramble state. Still, RegionFree fails to recognize the format and error message keeps appearing. I update the format anyway to match the string I have in my previous original PAL backup disc, then I burned a copy and as expected, my PAL Wii won't read it. Any ideas anyone?
