I'm a bit perplexed - (My first attempt at ripping)

Tried ripping a DVD with both DVD Decrypter and Smartripper. Tried each program in disk copy mode and by selected titles.

No problem with the various additions (trailer, tv commercials, behind the scenes, deleted scenes) - which btw were small enough to fit into 1 vob file (each).

However, I'm having sound track problems with the full length movie consisting of 6 VOB files.

VOB #1 has the normal english audio stream as the default playback

VOB #2 has the directors comments stream as the default playback

VOB #3 has the normal english audio stream as the default playback

VOB #4 has the directors comments stream as the default playback

VOB #6 has French language audio stream as the default playback.

>>>>> Why is the default audio switching with each VOB created on my hard disk? Is this something I can control or is it by design in the DVD disk to make my ripping a headache?

Thanks -

I don"t Know about DVD decrypter Because I use Smartripper (I like it better for plain ripping) But with Smartripper you can choose what audio track you want to rip off of the DVD, and you can also choose to Rip the DVD as a single Vob file instead of a bunch of Vob files which I also find a lot easier to Work with......

Yes it should and I don"t know why it would give you a Different audio stream for each VOB file, But if you tried to rip the DVD to a Single VOB file maybe it will be the same audio track through the whole file?? Just a Thought!!
