Why can't Overnet connect?

Hi, I downloaded and installed Overnet with no probs, but when I started it, it couldnt connect(it says unclear on status bar. So I went to instructions on Overnet site and open TCP and UDP ports. That didn't work, so I disabled the windows firewall, and still no luck, whats wrong? Im on 56k

Ensure:
1. No other firewalls are running
2. Your ISP isnt a university
3. You are not behind a router OR you have configured it
4. Click the connect button again.
